Subject: I'm back!!

I had a great time- NYC is a superb place to visit!! Thanks very much for your message bfny. We must have just missed your first phone call by about 10 minutes, we went back out again at 5.00pm abd didn't get back to the hotel till late. I kept picking up the phone to call you back the next day, but decided you probably had loads of things to do. So I didn't return your call out of rudeness.

Your advice about how to get to the hotel was very good for first time tourists as well. A route tyhat involved least changes, cool dude.

Also Danny, I did try to call you, but it kept coming up with the number as no longer available, so I guess you've changed numbers! I couldn't find anybody elses number I'm afraid.

We loved the views of NYC. I think we both liked the Chrysler building best to look at. After going to the top of the Empire State building Sleepless in Seattle will never be quite the same again!! Staten Island ferry was also a very enjoyable trip. Central Park is most definitely the best park in the world, and we went rowing twice! Still got the blisters to prove it. It's just so wicked to see the Statue of Liberty close up!!

Ground Zero is very moving, and I can see how much of a trauma it must have been, and still be, for New Yorkers and Americans in general. We didn't take any pictures out of respect for the dead, but lots of other tourists were snapping away which I found distasteful.

We really enjoyed Greenwich Village too. Times Square was too much like London, so we avoided that after a brief visit. And the subway tickets are really confusing! It's easy enough to navigate around but the system of card swipes is really flaky. Also there is no assistance - what about disabled passengers or passengers with luggage (like tourists) dammit!!

Well I'm of to bed again soon. Good to see the Bengals were getting a bashing from the TV media over the Dillon trade. Without knowing if any other team were interested it's difficult to see what other options we had, but I supposed this topic has been debated to death in the Jungle!! I've got lots of catching up to do!!

Laters!
