In answer to the earlier queries, the reason we got into drug courts in the brochure is because Gutierrez has made getting a drug court grant the centerpiece of his campaign and we're convinced the real problem around here to be along the following lines...

A shortage of prison cells, resulting in more deals combined with very lax sentencing guidelines and some lazy prosecutors and really wussy judges who actually won't recuse themselves from cases involving drug addicts in their own families - but we can't actually talk about wussy/corrupt judges without risking Steve's law license.

The result is dealers from Missouri and Oklahoma are moving into Southeast Kansas to do business - especially Cherokee county which is right across the border from Missouri and Oklahoma and has all the problems listed above.

We're getting more of that business up here too thanks to Gutierrez making deals instead of prosecuting plus the fact that we have Pittsburg State University here with plenty of young men and women to get hooked on the stuff.
