would have been good for the first one, in my opinion. the second could have then simply taken advantage of those spiffy explosions and the like. i'm not even tempted to go see this film though i'm not big on theaters anyway. not at 9 bucks a shot.

i did go see troy and i liked it, in spite of its inaccuracies and modifications. it really irks me how hollywood thinks it knows homer's epic better than he did. i don't understand why they can't just leave it as it is. now, people who are too lazy to read the actual text will operate under the delusion that the movie is how the story was written and then the errors will be passed on as truth. i don't care for that all that much. not that the average viewer is smart enough to even recognize it or care to notice.
