Got home last evening and the gang was upstairs. Zeke saw me ascending the steps and flew over to me. He was carrying a blanket, which in his endearing way, he threw at me. Naturally, it led into a game in which I threw it back over the railing and he threw it back at me. At one point in the game, he walked over to the top of the steps, where the safety gate is located and of course was locked. I decided it would be great to cover his head with the blanket and let him do his patented peek-a-boo move. Well, instead of taking it off, he does a ninety degree pivot, does an under the blanky giggle and starts running at full speed. I knew the little maniac was on a collision course for the wall but there was no way I'd be able to unlock the gate and catch him in time. all I could do was yell. It went...
