Hello my name is Darren Sabate-Alameda,I was born and raised in Hilo Hawaii. I am 15 years old and i am a student that attened a private school that is called kamehameha School Hawaii Campus. Theirs three campuses in the state of Hawaii, one on O'ahu, Maui, and the island of Hawaii. The first Kamehameha School that opened was in 1887 and when it firsted opend their was only boys, then in 1894 the school opend it's doors to girls. Kamehameha schools was founded by the will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the granddaughter of Kamehameha the Great.
Kamehameha Schools mission is to fulfill Bernice Pauahi Bishop desire to create educational opportunities in perpetuity to improve capability and well-being of people of Hawaiian ancenstry. Our Admission policy states that kids with Hawaiian ancenstry are allowed into Kamehameha Schools. So right now Kamehameha schools have kids with Hawaiian ancenstry. Their is a caucasian family that have no Hawaiian ancenstry that are fighting our admission policy. So us students and Hawaiian at Kamehameha schools are scared that they might win the case. We are sacared because if they win then nonhawaiian ancenstry kids well beable to get into Kamehameha school. At this moment the school is doing find with only kids of Hawaiian ancenstry, i say that because all of us students fell like a big family, we feel that way because we all have the same Blood, and that blood is Hawaiian.
Since Jan. 17, 1893 the americans took everything away from us Hawaiian people. Jan. 17, 1893 was the day Hawaiis Monarchy was overthrow. After that day slowly by slowly things are being taken away from us Hawaiians, such as out lands, ours homes, our rights, and now Kamehameha school. So i ask you nicely to support us Hawaiians. Support our admission policy Please..........
