Subject: my kitty got fixed

Hello Ladies,
Maddie got fixed a few days ago and has already taken out one of her sutures. We're supposed to put the e collar on her but I just don't have the heart. It's really hard to watch her all the time. We put a sock on her but it always manages to slide down and uncover one stitch. I never remembered it being this hard. I can't wait until the 19th, 10 more days. We're gonna try some nylons now. Who knows. It's really sad how much I can love this cat, but I think this also has to do with the fact that she's all I have. I mean, we have no kids, so I have to spoil something. But I love her so! There's gonna be tons of baby showers coming up soon. I don't know how that's gonna go. Thanks for listening
Lauren

It was harder on my husband when our dog Chance got fixed...he demanded it when they had to do an emergency C-section to get the last 2 puppies delivered. He was pale, crying, and just not able to even go back in to pay the bill. So, I completely understand.

And about those baby showers...if you don't feel you can cope, don't go. I've done it myself, calling a few days in advance to explain, and they have always been very understanding. I even had one friend, not a member, tell me that she was planning something and to know that I was invited, but if I didn't feel up to it, to just remain at home. She understood more and had never experienced a loss...I guess she just has her heart in the right place.

Jo
