Subject: Heather S. How are you doing? I hope the job is still going Ok

and that you are settling into your routine as well. I know how hard this is. When I lost Little Jon, I had just lost my teaching job 2 weeks before. So suddenly, all I have ever wanted to be, a teacher and a mom, were gone. I ended up working back at the local movie theater where I'd worked for 10 years. I hated knowing that my life was nowhere where I thought it should be.

I'm hanging in there, and hope you are doing OK too.

Love, L

[> hello to all, my short story of why I am working... -- Heather S., 21:38:06 02/09/04 Mon

I am still around, I am just totally out of time. I have never worked outside of the home with kids~this is harder than I thought it would be, by the time I am ready to relax in the eves it is 10PM already. I feel like I have no time at all for myself. But in a way that is good, being this busy has really pulled me out of my "feel sorry for myself funk" I am spending more quality time with my kids and husband. I feel swamped and don't think this working full time thing is for me but, at this time I have to work. When we found out we could leave Florida,we left quickly, My husband had lost his job due to taking to much time off when Noah died, so we really had no ties. We had a homeless family in our ward so we decided that we would let them stay at our apartment and use our funiture until we came back in January to pick it all up with a moving truck. Well, the end of Dec. we couldn't get this family on the phone, and felt a little uneasy, we had the bishop check on them. All was fine, supposedly! This family had been having garage sales for weeks. After the rent hadn't been paid in January the landlord called us and told us the apartment was totally empty, that this great Mormon family had taken everything, even the fridge and stove that were part of the apartment. So long of the short, the only thing we own is a 13" tv that we bought to watch at my parents house. I have to work because we have to re-buy everything, even our kids toys! I am so angry that I can barely think about this without getting just sick to my stomach!!! I have been staying away because I am far from a positive person right now. I feel cheated!!!Not only because we have nothing but because now I cannot be at home with my 3 1/2 year old, time is so short!!!

This too shall pass..........RIGHT

[> [> My Goodness -- Lauren, 15:24:50 02/15/04 Sun

Heather,
My heart goes out to you. first of all, how amazingly kind of you to allow them to stay at your house. That's just great, I mean, opening your home up to those people. And I am soo sorry that this happened. I can never tell you how much my heart ached when I read your story. But I know the Lord will bless you, even though it won't be when you want it. Your kindness will not go unrewarded. Let us know how you're doing

Lauren

[> I'm so sorry this happened to you. -- Jenifer, 10:13:03 02/10/04 Tue

I know this sounds trite, but you will be blessed for your generosity. Even more so since it was taken advantage of. I'm sure you're hopping mad, and I'd be too. It doesn't seem fair, seeing all you guys are going through.

I do know your Father in Heaven does love you. We are often asked to bare burdens heavier than we think we can manage. I pray you and your family will recover from this.

BTW, I thought this was a support board. If you can't come and ask for support here, then we are not doing our job very well. We'll taking you hopping mad, or down in the dumps. What are friends for?

As you said, this too shall pass. Surviving it is the hard part.

Jenifer,
Mother to six earth angels and seven angels in Heaven.
Our newest angel left us Dec. 5, 2003.
We miss you Anna Marie!
