Subject: You may not here from me for a while....

My grandfather has Alzheimers' and is in the final stages. He took a turn for the worse Sunday night. If they had not changed the care they were giving him, he would have died then, but my Grandmother insisted they do something for him. Now, though, they say he doesn't have long. My family has come from all directions to see him and be here for him.

I'm very sleep deprived, because we thought we were going to loose him last night. I'm about to go on to bed so I can spell those who are with him tonight. Bless my grandmother's heart, she still hasn't slept, even though we've told her she needs to. Before I left though, she was starting to stagger from fatigue, so I sicked her daughters on her, to make her lay down, at least.

Prayers of comfort for him and our family would be appreciated. If anyone attending the temple could put Russell Howard Donaldson Jr.'s name on the prayer roll, that would be wonderful. He has been a wonderful example to us. He has 3 children, 19 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. Poppa has had a great influence on my life for the good. I will miss him horribly, but I do not wish him to suffer a minute longer than he has to.

Jenifer,
Mother to six earth angels and seven angels in Heaven.
Our newest angel left us Dec. 5, 2003.
We miss you Anna Marie!

Jenifer,
I'm so sorry that your family is going thru this sad and difficult time. I am glad though, that your family has been blessed with such a wonderful patriarch. You should think about getting a blessing to give you the strength you'll need to get thru this and also guidance to help your grandmother. May the Lord bless you and yours,
love Robin
