Subject: what a nice day....

tonight was my husband's work christmas party. I stopped by the local thrift store this morning hoping that I'd find something nice to wear. My church shoes broke a couple weeks ago so I was looking for new shoes too. I didn't really expect to find anything....I'm quite tall- it's hard to find clothes that fit properly not to mention modesty...most party clothes for ladies seem to contain way too little fabric..and who of us ever feels justified in spending money on ourselves this time of year...Well,I found the most beautiful fancy pant suit that I've ever seen. It's a soft peachy pink color and the fabric is so soft, it falls so nicely. The jacket goes down to my shins.And it was brand new,tags still on it,wow. I also got a pretty black top to go with it and even a pair of black pumps. A 50 yr old necklace that my mom gave just happens to go perfectly with it. I cann't tell you how wonderful it was to get out with my hubby and feel pretty. hey, I even put alittle makeup on. We had a delicious dinner and I met some other wives...it was just so nice and I had to tell you all. It's been so long since I felt like this.....happy sigh....I hope that you all had a good night too.

That is what having a date night each week is supposed to encourage. Imagine how you'd feel if you did this kind of thing a little more often...you'd be feeling and looking like a million bucks!

I know you've often had trouble finding properly fitting clothes and I am sure that HF made sure that stuff was there waiting for you! I am thrilled to pieces!

Now, if there was only a way to see you in that outfit!!!!
