I'm with Sandra on this. I think I'd like it better if the site was restricted to viewing and posting by a password.

I've been to alot of sites like this. I just give the owner a quick intro about myself and why I want to join the group and am given a password. If I don't like the group I leave. This has never been a problem for me finding new groups.

So from past experience I'd say the only thing new people need to give is a valid e-mail address, an introduction and why they want to join the group. If people want to lurk after their initial intro then so be it but at least we know a bit about who is lurking and reading that way. Of course they could lie but I'd say most people are honest.

So those are my opinions. Oh, forgot to say the board has been loading alot faster the last few days for me too. So if everyone wants to stay here I'm fine with it.
