The consequence to an inappropriate behaviour should reflect the action and yours was perfect! He got the haircut, which is what you wanted and he needed AND a good lesson was learned in the meantime. He had his chance and now he knows what will happen when he blows it.
Of course, *I* like the buzz look. Both my boys are cut lots shorter than 1". Maybe Jordan will like it as well and you'll save $$ on haircuts! LOL
