Subject: My manipulative kid ;-)

We went to lunch today with friends. My friend's DD has some behavioral issues and it's a constant battle to take her anywhere.

So, we're eating lunch. The friend wants to come play at my house after lunch but she's already "lost" that privilege.

Abby (whispers): Tell your mom you love her.

Friend: Mommy. I love you. (Pause) Now can I go to Abby's?

Abby (whispers): Tell your mom you'll be good all day long.

Friend: Mommy, I'll be good all day.

Abby whispers another step into the friend's ear. This one I don't remember.

Then, we all start laughing about how Abby has the steps down. She knows just what she needs to do to get me to cave in. Who knew that she had it down to such a science?

I have to laugh because although it's manipulative, it shows she knows how to get what she wants!

Thought I'd share because it cracked me up.
