Subject: Question on tubes in the ear...or should I say ear canal...more

Nick had his tube coming out over a year ago. It has been stuck in the ear canal and is not coming out(the dr's office had to scrape the other one out about 6 months ago to check for an ear infection because the could not see the ear drum.

Any suggestions on what to do. When the ped got the last one out, it hurt SO badly that I can not put him through that again. The ped's office told me they have no way to numb the ear canal before trying to get it out and now I am not sure what to do. They say take him back to the ent, but his ent was ub Birmingham...should I wait a couple of months until we get back down there???? What do you think????

TIA

Cyber Hugs,
Martha
