I do believe they need to be planted outside eventually. I'll check and see if I can come up with more info. I think a good rule of thumb is to keep the soil somewhat moist, but not over-damp. One thing I know that works great for all plants (indoor and outdoor) is something called Fish Fertilizer. You can get it at any Home Depo type store. It stinks really bad, but it does wonders with plants. Hope this helps some.
