Subject: Ok, I am going to throw out a crazy idea...

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in going in together on purchasing a website? We could purchase a domain name, such as jan98club.com and purchase hosting.

I have been hosting my website through a company called connective communications and love them. I have tried many others in the past, but this one has never gone down (not that I have noticed anyway) and has a great control panel, plus it gives you a lot of bandwidth.

I think it would be around $20 to get a domain name for a year, and it's $17 a month for hosting (or $15 a month if you pay for the whole year). I know this sounds expensive, but if we could get 20 of us to go in together, that would be $10 each for the whole year.

The bonus would be that we could host all our extra places on one website, with no ads. We could probably incorpate the voy forum into our site as well. And... we could also give out photo space to those who need it. You can create different accounts, and as many email addresses as you want. And they have web based email. The email would count against storage space, as would the webpages. You get 500 mb of space... so say we used 50 mb for he website, that would be 450 mb we could divide amongst ourselves for photo storage. (the administrator gets to create accounts all allocate each account a certain amount of storage space). We could all have emails that are ourusername@jan98.com ... these emails can be forwarded to wherever we want or accessed via the web.

Oh, it also has tracking. So we can see what sites people visited before ours (how they found us) and what countries they are visiting from.

Like I said, just a crazy idea... but post below if you are interested. The more people interested, the cheaper it would be. If 40 people agreed to go together... we could prepay a year for only $5 each.
