that is about $20 a year, or less depending on who its done through and such.

Then there is a monthly fee for a someone to host your website. This is actually what makes it faster and no ads, because this is a company that only has pay websites. They don't have as much traffic on their server as the ones that have free websites. The fee for this is $8-$20 a month depending on a lot of factors. The one I personally like is $16 a month.

I think that may be the price that is holding people back. I think we could all agree on going in on a domain, if there were 10 of us that would only be $2 a year. But that just gets you the "name", you still need to find a place to put the site.
