You never know. It could make it to 200k miles. Or not.

If it was me, and I didn't have the money, I would take the chance. In that case, it may very well be that the risk of not paying another bill is greater than the risk of not replacing the belt. Odds are much better that the cable company will shut you off if you don't pay them- than it is of the timing belt snapping.

The belt prolly won't break just yet. But when you can, you should replace it.

In the words of Ben Franklin, "A stitch in time saves nine." You just have to figure out which stitch.
