Well, we are all Xterra fans here, so we are going to favor the Xterra.

The Xterra is superior to the Trooper in three areas; Engineering and workmanship, maintenance, and resale value. For example, take your Trooper to any used car lot- and ask them what they would write you out a check for. Having worked most of my adult life in the car biz, I can tell you- it ain't much. Conversely, I think you would be surprised to find that even with those miles- there is a market for the same mileage Xterra. And that should tell you something.

Also, I think you would find an Xterra to be far more durable and rugged. (It's the hidden things that make the difference.)

Another thing to consider is the number of Isuzu dealerships in America, vs. the 1400 some odd Nissan dealers.

Lastly, I would point out that the Trooper is no longer manufactured. That never bodes well for a particular model.
