My 2 favorite Poems, the first is called Empty. Originally written for a wonderful horse who passed on, the words have been changed for my mare. The second is called dont cry, pretty much speaks for itself.

Just going through the motions, surviving day by day
Nothing holds much meaning now you�ve gone away
Confusion, anger and pain are just some things I feel
The hands of time are ticking and they tell me time will heal

I wonder why it had to be why fate was so unkind
Was there anything I could�ve done it often plays in my mind
It seems like only yesterday that I let you go
The pain is just so real, and I miss you so

I can�t look into your stable; it�s cold and empty now
Your rugs all neatly folded look out of place somehow
I expect to hear you whinney as I walk towards your door
I long to see your beautiful face but I can no more

I know I gave you all the love that I had there to give
I hope you knew that in my heart no better place to live
That doesn�t mend my breaking heart, or stem the tears that flow
But someday we will meet again, this deep down I know

DON'T CRY
Don�t cry for the horses that life has set free;
A million white horses forever to be.
Don�t cry for the horses now in Gods hand,
As they dance and they prance in a heavenly band.
They were ours as a gift, but never to keep.
As they close their eyes forever to sleep,
Their spirits unbound, on silver wings they fly;
A million white horses against the blue sky.
Look up into heaven; you�ll see them above-
The horses we lost, the horses we loved
Manes and tails flowing, they gallop through time.
They were never yours- they were never mine.
Don�t cry for the horses. They�ll be back someday.
When our time is gone, they will show us the way.
Do you hear that soft nicker? Close to your ear?
Don�t cry for the horses. Love the ones that are here
