Hello everyone,

Just wanted to share news.. A week ago A 22yr stallion came to live with us the poor fella had lived in a small yard for the last 4 yrs without shelter or rug expected to serve mares in this environment. When we went to pick him up he didnt even realise he was allowed to walk out of the yard gate. took a little coaxing. Once home i put him in the small paddock behind the house approx 1 acre and he was amazed didnt know which way to turn. he rolled, looked around and tried to trot but his legs were going everywhere due to lack of use!!!!!!!!!! Now a week gone by he is happily trotting everywhere is warmly rugged and living around the house like a pet even to the point of blocking the gate so that my son has to say goodmorning to him before he can go and catch the bus.
Baron will live out his days with us and i think he has alot of those left by his cheeky attitude.

Question to you carrol is there anything we can do about people that have multi horses living in mud water filled with thier poo and urine and have been for ages? This property he came from she had nearly 30 horses on 5 acres it stank. yes the horses are fed basics and have water but what could this be doing to their feet? and welbeing. This is a point where i dont know that to some the extremes are bad enough for the RSPCA to come in but to me those horses could have long lasting probs from this specially the foals

Happy rescuing all

Naomi
