Hi all,

havn't been on here in awhile just too busy with my rescue cases...
Well on sunday I took Baron {catch a bird} at the grand age of 23 to his first competition of a ODE and got 4th overall in our section. now it was fun he was bouncing around like a 3yrs old not 23 silly boy..
Let me explain I took on this lovely old stallion about 12mths ago and he was in a very sad state and I dont think many people would be willing to take on a 22yr old stallion but I looked into his eyes and well I have him now with me for life... about 5mths ago while being a rather annoying house pet I walked outside with a saddle and bridle thinking he would run away and he just stood there untied while saddled up... He hadnt been riden in 16yrs after retirement from racing.
Well this funny old boy pricked his beautiful ears forward and said "LETS GO" so in the last 4mths we have been getting to know each other under saddle while trying to still put weight on him as he was rather thin when I got him home.

Who says old horses can't get out there and start again.

I love this dear old fella and he will live with me till its time but I seemed to have brought him to life again with the riding.

Just wanted to share

Cheers

Naomi
