Firstly thanks for reading our news letter. As regard your comment; Equine Care Group sourced (through one of it's sponsors)feed suitable for cattle but not horses. This feed, lick blocks etc was of little use to many of Equine Care Groups drought clients. In the past this feed has been past on to Rural Relief and also been made available to the Salvation Army drought relief programme through Equine Care Groups contacts and sponsors. On this occasion, after discussions with Aussie Helpers,it was deemed that,Aussie Helpers had a transport arrangement in place to distribute this feed to those in need.
There is nothing bogus about this, this arrangement with Aussie Helpers may take place again in the future, and since then has taken place with other organisations.
Although Equine Care Group is primarily concerned with horses, they are also sympathetic to the plight of both cattle and sheep farmers and will continue to assist them when possible.
Equine Care Group has no need or desire to,as you put it,'cash in' on other organisations 'good work'.I am puzzled as to how you think Equine Care Group can 'cash in' by sourcing, negotiating and supplying feed totally free of charge for distributing by another organisation.
Equine Care Group has a good working relationship with Aussie Helpers having taken on clients referred to them by Aussie Helpers that Aussie Helpers have not been in a position to help.
I will forward a transcript of this to Brian and see if he cares to comment for you.
