GIGI,Thanks for your interest.
As you are no doubt aware there are many organisations operating as non-profit horse rescues, to list them all would take forever.My suggestion would be to simply take note of the quoted ABN and check on this site for status.

If the organisation has no ABN then they should have a Sanction and/or a registration number that can be checked by a phone call to Dept.of Fair Trading or in some states Dept of Racing and Gaming.A phone call to either of these two govt dept.s with just the name will also allow you to find out the organisations status as being registered or not and being a non-profit and deductuble status for donations.Any further enquiries should be made directly to the organisation in question.

Please when making enquiries to organisations do not use bogus email addresses and identities.The best way to make enquiries is by direct phone call.
