Hi everyone, I help my third graders discover the rich heritage of the First People of our area, the Coast Miwok. I would like to help them do some hands-on learning along with reading research. If you have any sources for authentic or reproduced artifacts/materials, I would be grateful to know of them. For example: deer and elk antlers, clam shell beads, deerskin, rabbit skin, stone mortar & pestle, tule reeds, etc. I wonder if anyone has experience with teaching a simple basket or tool. I would be interested in developing a kit that can be shared among the teachers in my area. Our children need to learn through all of their senses! Many thanks.
