Hi. I am a Barretto descendant from Zambales. I know your roots are from Zambales also. Your great-grandfather was Antonio Barretto who was once the town mayor of Cabangan. Your granduncle Manuel Barretto was also once the governor of Zambales. But we personally knew your grandfathers bro AUGUSTO BARRETTO of San felipe Zambales. We fondly call him Lolo Oto. Your grandfather and my great-grandmother Paz Barretto were second cousins. We are into research of our ancestry. We have listed more than a thousand Barrettos in our tree. The earliest ancestors we were able to trace was ANTONIO LOURENCO BARRETTO married to a De Souza in 1680 India. They were believed to be from Portugal. All Barrettos in the Phils are close cousins except for some Chinese who adopted the name. There are several Barrettos who became prominent like: Jose Mari Barretto Kaimo, the actress Paraluman was married to Anthony Barretto O'Brien, the original founder of San Miguel was a Barretto, the first Secretary of Finance Don Alberto Barretto(bro of your great-grandfather)etc. of course the famous Barretto sisters of the Philippine cinema (u and ur sisters).
