In reply to: Bladepaw 's message, "off to the docks (any who want to come and vist, please do)" on 11:05:27 03/25/01 Sun

I'M a commander, & it's a perfectly good rank in my opinion, for someone who only went on the roster on the 19th. *Grumbes & returns to the BRAND-SPANKING-NEW Firestorm, which he not only COMMANDS but NAMED too, so there!!!*
OOC-Only joking. Terr's just in a bit of a 'mood' right now.

**places her paws on her hips** it's a fine rank, but that's no excuse to being flip-motouthed to yer commanding officers... **opens her mouth to reprimand the youth but finds herself talking to a retreating back, not yet having regained all her old glory, Bladepaw just shook her head and tossed a pebble at the reatreating figure** no respect... harumph! **scanning the docks she wondered where on earth those layabouts she had told to go get sails had gone off to.**

*Whirls around, incenced(sp?), but his expression softens. He begins to walk back along the jetty towards Bladepaw's rickety looking ship.*
I'm sorry, I've just had a long day. Here, I'll help you out if you want...

*Sings a merry tune as he scrubs at the decks on the foresactle.*
''Old Badgut was a swabee,
He washed the decks so clean,
& after he had finished up
You'd swear the floor did gleam.
The captain,
Cap'n Breaknose,
He'd wade in from the shore,
Dripping with mud
& other crud,
All o'er the nice clean floor.
Then Badgut he did come out,
At first he did fair swoon,
But then with a wail,
He'd grab a kitchen pail,
& belt Breaknose 'alf way to the moon!''

*Continues singing away to himself, & as he moves onto the gunwhales, slips in some algae.*
Urgh... This thing really DOES need a good cleanin' up.

[> [> [> [> [> [> **laughs and then joins in on the song** -- Bladepaw, 11:00:08 04/02/01 Mon

There once came a scurvy seabeast,
scruben t'e decks so smooth,
'e did 'is best 'an the boat did shine,
from starboard to t'e boon,
now this seabeast,
wit' t'e strength 'o near double 'is size!
Well 'e might 'ave been strong,
but boy was 'e dumb!
'e scubbed 'an scubbed until that boat shinned!
**stops for a minute and grins**
'an as the boy looked about 'im,
tah see 'ow 'e had scrubbed,
'e promply was 'a shot right then 'an there,
by an archer on t'e docks,
fer that stupid oaf of a beast,
'ad scrubbed so 'ard,
'an fer so long,
there were 'oles,
as big as a beast,
'an water was rushin' fast uppon t'e decks.

Oh Hellsteeth!
The captain cried,
and sank to his knees as 'is ship sunk nearby.
'an ublaz came out with body guards near,
'an t'e poor captain, sunk to 'is knees again,
'an blamed the poor lad,
dead, 'an under t'e sea.

"it was 'im! that scurvy seabeast who dunnit!"
The captain would shout
'an off went 'is head because there really was no doubt,
That dead beast was a dunce, but so was the cap'n,
fer 'avin that beast mop on a pefectly good cabin!!

**dances a little jig and grins until she herself caught her foot on a patch of moss an falls with a squelch, laughing**

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> **Gohon walked down the dock. As she neared the Bloodkeel she caught the tail ends of singng** -- Gohon Shadowpaw, 20:08:05 05/07/01 Mon

**Chuckleing to herself, she wondered who would be singing aboard her ship.** The Captain never did sing, then again the captain isn't alive anymore. **She climbed aboard to find her old friend and commander Bladepaw in pile of wet moss. Grinning broadly she started a new song**

We'll drink the wine till the cup is dry,
and kiss the lads so they'll not cry,
and toss the dice until we fly,
to dance with the Jak o' the Shadows.

We'll dance all night while the moon runs free,
and dandle the lads upon our knee,
and then you'll ride along with me,
to dance with the Jak o' the Shadows.

We'll sing all night and we'll drink all day,
and on the lads we'll spend our pay,
and when it's gone, then we'll away,
to dance with the Jak o' the Shadows.

There's some delight in ale and wine,
and in some lads after which we pine,
but my delight, yes, always mine,
is to dance with the Jak o' the Shadows.

We'l toss the dice however they fall,
and kill goodbeasts they be short or tall,
then follow young Bladepaw whenever she calls,
to dance with the Jak o' the Shadows.

**The chuckled and pulled Bladepaw onto her feet.** Isn't it nice ta hear the theme song the guys gave you back in the old days?
