*Alihja hands Chaem a letter with information on the northwest enclosed and leaves to make further preparations.* First off, let me thank you for your help. It is appreciated more than you can imagine. But now, to the core of your mission. You must find the pine marten shaman, Shri 'Uki, that leads a tribe of wild vermin in the island chains to the northwest. According to notes taken by the wolf Risan, known as Ver 'al'Oprai in those parts, he is a vicious beast and doesn't take kindly to disrespect, whether intentional or no. A creature of strange habits, he is prone to extreme moodswings. One of his most striking and disturbing features are his orange-streaked eyes. It was a change that came upon him when he discovered the arts of voodoo and witchcraft, both common practices in the jungle islands of the northwest. Risan must have taken an interest in this change and decided to risk personal safety to find out more. She went under the guise of a ship-wreck survivor that had wandered into the tribe's territory by accident. After proving her prowess in the field of healing, Shri 'Uki took a liking to her and made her his apprentice. She must have learned much, but very little is written in her journals. Your job is to find Shri 'Uki and, after somehow convincing him not to kill you, to find out what information Risan exchanged with him. The island that his tribe occupies is the largest of the chain. Enclosed is a map that I copied from Sampetra's archives. The waters are not rough, but the heat may prove too much for even a Sampetran. Do not become distracted by the riches of the island or its native peoples. After your objective is complete however, feel free to loot and plunder as long as your continued safety is assured. A full stock of water and food should be brought, as the natives take great fun in trying to make you eat plants and animals that are poisonous. Risan noted that in the most sour of terms. This is perhaps one of the more dangerous of the four missions, so I will not be surprised or angered if you wish to back out. When you return from your journey, I will expect a full report on all your findings.
