I live in Hamilton, Ohio. I have a question about criminal/psychological profiling.

My question is: Does the FBI have the knowledge to psychologically profile and/or diagnose a serial killer as a sociopath, or is this done by psychiatrist?

I have researched the FBI Acadamy at Quantico on their web site, but found nothing to my knowlegde that would indicate that question. So, thats why I want to contact you and ask.
See, I am in the process of writing a novel about a serial killer, and I need to try to find the answer to this question. I would appreciate a reply asap, so I can get started. Please reply.
