I assume you are a U.S. citizen? If so, you could contact the FBI Academy (see www.fbi.gov) - in case you can see yourself working there. Alternatively, there are universities in the U.S. and in Europe, such as Liverpool University/UK. They offer courses in investigative psychology for psychologists (see http://www.liv.ac.uk/InvestigativePsychology/index.html). You could then go into private practice, but "lone profilers" are usually not that highly regarded. Since I am based in Switzerland and there isn't a "usual way" to go about this, I can't say much more but to encourage you to study and work in a law enforcement or academic psychological field.
