(Eh. I returned in another post, under Dog Soldiers'.)

Without a word or call, the golden goddess swiftly flew across the plain, the wind catching her feet and trailing behind lethargically, no match for the effortless churning of the maiden. A sacred principle had been violated, but more importantly, so had her homeland. The intolerable injustice must be righted, and she would not shirk her duty. She cared not if they recognized her, and thus made no announcement of her identity. Let them assume what they would.
Of the lesser evils, she paid no heed. Their words reached her ears before she reached her destination, but she cared not if they threatened retribution. In any case, DOT was not commanding her to do anything. The palomino acted of her own accord, charging towards Adrian furiously. Regardless of whether or not first contact had been made, the mare shoved herself between Shazaam and Adrian. Shazaam did not need protection, and she was not offering it. It was with Adrian that she had her fight to pick, and she would settle for nothing less. If it was a fight he wanted, it was a fight he was getting; she would not waste her time on words, for it had long since moved past that.
The mare was older, yes, but she was neither frail nor faint-hearted. In contrast, she was nearly eternal, with a strength gifted to her by countless seasons possessing the healing trait, several of which were spent blessed as a mage. In all technicality, she had never relinquished those powers, simply chosen not to utilize them. If the lightning-mare's power proved stolen or simply a nuisance, they may be resurfaced. For now, though, her attention was forcefully focused on Adrian, and she reared against him, too close for either to affect much damage with their hooves. It was not her goal to damage him--she merely wanted him and his camaderie gone from her once-peaceful home.

While listening to Dog Soldiers, Adrian would have quirked a brow if only he had one. The bay turns his nose away, intentionally acting quite indifferent. A light breeze tugged at the ebony wisps of his mane and tail.

Then die, Dog Soldiers. I do not wish to disturb you.

His black tinged ears swivel about as more Rebels steal into the lands. All visible emotion leaves his face, leaving a bitterly determined expression matched with the slightest gleam of sorrowful hate evident within his chocolate brown eyes. The next horse that appeared on the scene, however, appeared all too familiar. Adrian starts a bit, throwing his head in Daughter of Light's direction. The faintest trace of respect threw shadows across his features, but he allowed none to break his contempt. The auburn reacts with stunning speed and agility, raising to meet the former Queen's offensive. Her strike hits him as expected, almost throwing off his sense of balance. As Daughter of Light's weight pushes into his, the tenacious stallion attempts to use this position to his advantage. Maliciously, the black-pointed Leader performs his counter-attack. He shifts his position forward, allowing himself to bear into her with the hope of pushing her back a few steps. But Adrian knew this may not even work, as DoL seemed surprisingly spry. The events seemed slowed, but barely three seconds had passed.
