The aging mare was tired, so tired. The tremendous healing had taken as much out of her as her many years should have. Still, there were always needs greater than hers, work to be done, others to support. Her weary legs found their way back to her home, and after speaking with Xiaoyu, her hooves instinctively carried her to Starlight and the tiny filly. She glanced once between the mare and filly-- the filly was not of weaned age, but the mare was not lactating. The reminder of such sent her head swiftly searching for her own young son, but she calmed when her delicate auds, undimmed by time, heard him playing on the beach. "Do you need a nurse mare?" she inquired of the mare kindly, if without pleasantries. If her aid was not required, there were other pressures she must attend to.
