The palomino, knowing she would be unfamiliar to these new horses, drops her regal air and walks over to them, concerned at the mare's words. She stands quietly in their presence for a moment, cropping the still-lush winter grass casually. After a bit, she speaks softly. "The love of a parent is unconditional," she remarks off-handedly. "Hurting can be eased with two things: time, and love. Time is inevitable, but love is optional." For the first time, she meets the young mare's eyes. "Your father loves you. Do not abandon him." Releasing the mare from her intense gaze, she continues her monologue casually. "I do not think he would hold a grudge, and perhaps he would enjoy an occasional visit."
