The chestnut Welsh follows his mate at a smooth trot, giving the filly a gentle whicker, also sniffing her with elated curiousity. "She's wonderful, Shaz," he comments gently. For although this little one was not of his own blood, in the name of his love's family and a promise to a friend long gone but never forgotten, he will be a grandfather to little Elven if she seeks one. "Hallo," he says to her, his warm bass rumble full of playful friendliness.
