The news sent a small tremor of shock down his spine, but he turned back to his mate with a face empty of fear. "The dark king came here in haste. Who is to say that the evil section will be willing to go to war over their new king's son? I doubt we will see war within the week," he assured her.

He didn't speak, but his brave smile voiced his determination to fight. Obliging to her panic, he changed the subject, sort of, "We need to go to Windy Glen again, Shine. I must tell them of the war, and if my mother is back, you can meet her."
