*She hugs the colt slightly, protecting him from any pre-winter chilly breezes. Nudging his rump, she directs him to the food.*

A little unsteadied by the hug, he grins to his father, showing his pink gums. He then turns, his gangly legs moving unevenly until he could reach his mother's milk. After he had his fill, he plopped on the ground ungracefully, his eyelids drooping drowsily.

"You're adorable," he informed the colt, without expecting much of an answer back. "Isn't he?" he inquired of his mate.
