hi

probably the reason that your parents aren't giving you a definate answer is they are wondering if you will be stay with riding and able to keep up the responsibilty of one...have you tried to lease a pony/horse you basiclly get the same priviledges and stuff you just don't own it.i leased lots of horses before i got my own,so i got the experience of looking after a horse and made sure i would keep up with riding....It also should my mom that i was responsible...Im not saying you are not a responsible person...just saying horses are expensive and a big responsibility.
Its a bit hard for me to help you convince your parents, but just show them you can handle a horse and stay with riding and oh ya i forgot maybe do like a work get lessons kinda thing...you get riding lessons for looking after some of the horses..like some days you might muck stalls and other days you might clean tack and so on and in return you get lessons.
well i hope this helped
bye
