i've been trying to get my parents to buy me a horse forever but it took me 4 years (and some help from a friend) just to convince them to pay for lessons. and now the horse that i love more than anything else might be getting sold and i have the rest of today to convince my parents to buy him (which is why i'm here in the first place) and then "the discussion is over" which basically means they're already set to say no. right now i'm just trying to figure out all the positive arguments i can use and hoping he doesn't get sold in the first place.

what i'm saying is that you should take a while to figure out all the reasons you should get a horse and ways to deal with the reasons you shouldn't, then have a talk with your parents and give them all the good reasons and ask them why they won't buy you a horse and then give them solutions to their answers until they're satisfied.
