I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT EVEN THOUGH SOME SLAUGHTER HOUSES ARE EVIL, SOME DO IT PAIN FREE AND CLEANLY, SO THAT THE HORSE WILL HAVE A QUICK AND PAINLESS DEATH. I HAD NINE HORSES, BUT ONE DEVELOPED CANCER AND NEEDED TO BE PUT DOWN, LEAVING ME WITH EIGHT HORSES. I RESEARCHED FOR A NICE SLAUGHTER HOUSE OVER THE INTERNET AND WHEN IT WAS TIME, I WENT WITH MY MARE AND MY VET CAME ALONG TO ENSURE THEY USED APPROPRIATE DRUGS- WHICH THEY DID. THEY ALSO GAVE HER A CLEAN, WARM STABLE SO THAT SHE COULD DIE PEACEFULLY. SO WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IS THAT NOT ALL SLAUGHTER HOUSES ARE 'EVIL' SOME OF THEM JUST DO IT WRONG. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SLAUGHTER HOUSE, AT LEAST HAVE THE COMMON SENSE TO RESEARCH A DECENT ONE, AND NOT JUST ANY OLD MARKETED PLACE ON THE BACK SECTION OF A NEWSPAPER.
