Has her return to GH helped the show or boxed the storyline in?

Personally I don't even like the character of Brenda right now. She's become really bitchy. In fact she reminds me of Meg on Sunset. I don't remember Brenda being that way in the past though I suppose I'd be cranky if I thought I'd been dying for several years only to find out it was never true.

I also think this whole reconciliation with Jax is way too forced. Despite Sky not letting on that she knew Brenda wasn't ill, I think Jax was a huge CAD to dump Sky that way after all he had promised her and all they had been through. It just feels like the Jax/Brenda pairing was decreed by the powers that be as a ratings stunt no matter where the storylines were headed. And frankly, I don't blame Carly for being wary. What is so special about Brenda that all these guys are falling all over themselves to be with her?
