From TVGuide.com....

Three B&B actors, Michael Dietz (Mark), Tamara Davies (Tricia) and Luigi Amodeo (Lorenzo) have been bumped down to recurring, TV Guide Online has learned... Veteran soap writer Barbara Bloom has been officially named senior vice president of daytime and children's programming for CBS, Variety reports...
-----------------------------------------------------------

HUH? Amodeo just came on the scene! As did Dietz(who is SUPPOSED to be playing a pivotal character from the past). Not to mention how they could have worked Mark with ANY woman on the canvas(Brooke, Macy, Amber). I hate how he gives up way too easily.

And Davies should have been dropped from Day One! I hated that Talyor-clone Tricia.

And let's hope Barbara Bloom can do something to help this ailing daytime lineup. First step: Cancelling Guiding Light. It's a show no one is talking about anymore.

Next Step: The Following Soap Lineup In Most of the Markets

11AM: Price Is Right
12PM: Young And the Restless
1PM: News
1:30PM: New Bell Soap Opera
2PM: The Bold and the Beautiful
3PM: As The World Turns

Barbara Bloom will be the BIGGEST idiot on the planet if she replaces Guiding Light with an hourlong Bold and the Beautiful(As the World Turns has a MUCH better chance of survival in GL's Timeslot, because it is already a well-established show, and has gained ground in the Nielsen Ratings).

Not only that, but in a lot of markets, B&B would be competing with Passions and One Life to Live.....And The Bold and the Beautiful would topple them in the ratings. LOL.

And in a handful of markets, GL airs at 9AM! Why would someone want to introduce a new soap in that godawful timeslot?(Even though for the first 9 Months of the show, Sunset Beach aired at 9AM on my local affiliate's station. I'm not sure how successful it was in that timeslot.)

Or maybe I'm just speculating about nothing. All I know is that she needs to do SOMETHING to get CBS back to it's number one position in daytime and SOON. The only way to do that is to kill Guiding Light.
