I do remember watching a bit of As the World Turns during the whole Rosanna/Mike/Carly triangle the first time around.

And even though I never saw Brian Bloom's Dusty, you yourself have to admit that recasting all of these roles from the past are kinda pushing it. I guess it's better than creating all these new characters.

As far as Taggert goes on GH, he was done the second Dara went from recurring character to non-existent. And with Taggert leaving, they are probably going to take Gia with him(fine with me, considering that Andrea Pearson was NEVER Gia to me). I bet Tyler Christopher and Marissa Ramirez would SMOKE the screen together. But, alas, wishful thinking.

Although I rag on Passions A LOT, I must admit their African-American presence is great, especially with the addition of Amelia Marshall. Young and the Restless just acquired Keith Hamilton Cobbs to play a tycoon(probably some guy that owns or has a vested interest in the Satine line).

The guy playing Marshall Travers is GREAT! LOL.

Aside from the minorty presence, As the World Turns is really scoring in the "star" department. McClain, Roger Howarth and now Real Andrews.

Let's only hope this star power doesn't infiltrate to NBC. You know Jane Elliot just moved back to LA. Let's PRAY she's smart enough not to play something like Hecuba on Passions.
