 As usual I'm still around. My life is just dandy. It's filled up with school, work, u of wisconsin football & basketball, tv, and a tad bit of a social life. :-)

Soaps...there's just so little to be excited about. I watch three shows somewhat regularly. ATWT remains the most fun but its not quite a "must-tape" for me. Hehehe although little Adam lost his virginity which kinda stunned me. Score one for the regular guys! Y&R's psycho Trisha bride story has actually been quite enjoyable....but Y&R always seems to resort to psycho's for its excitement and that's getting to be tired. GH is the last show I watch with any regularity, probably only because I have Sopanet and watch it at night. This show is SO bad! Bob Guza's masterful storytelling is sorely missed right now. I predict an exodus of favorite actors due to unhappiness with JFP's ineptness.

Soap ratings overall continue to drop to pitiful lows. There's absolutely nothing fresh or exciting about soaps with low budgets that attempt to copy big-budget primetime shows. They always fail miserably. (remember last summer's plane crash on Days complete with desert island electricity and Aiport '77 stock footage) Back to storytelling and character development I say! All this insider crap is going to be the ultimate undoing of the genre. Oh yeah, let's keep hiring JFP with her horrendous track record! And yes, let's keep on giving our good ole buddy Jimmy Reilly more chances cuz he's just such a swell guy.....with low-grade white trash talent. Oh, and let's look to that master of interpretting what the fans want, Mr Corday. I think he's neck in neck with Reilly and Phelps as to which one is the most out of touch with reality.

Anyway, sorry to have such a negative attitude. I'm also truly thankful for this board and for all of you. Its nice to have this delightful diversion from all the crappy things happening out there!
