I think it's very cheap of them to send out a coupon for a discount on the year in review issue. However, I have a very low opinion of all the soap magazines.....well, not just soap mags but all teen mags, and entertainment type magazines with the possible exception of EW. But I digress.

Do you guys feel that I'm wrong to think the soap mags are nothing more than a collection of light fluff from the networks marketing folks and the publicity folks hired by the stars? As an example, I always hear about how you can't get Ken Corday angry by criticizing his show or he won't allow any Days interviews. With that mentality, how can these maagizines be the least bit objective? I mean, seriously there are some really godawful things going on in daytime (and Days is right at the top of that heap)which are obviously contributing to the ratings decline. But to read these magazines you'd think daytime was full of compelling stories & wonderful acting that just can't be missed. That couldn't be further from the truth. If there was a magaizne with soem true bite to it then it would function as a "watchdogs" and this crap that is on the air would be under the scutiny that it deserves.
