From TV Guide Online...

GUZA BACK TO GH?
The rumor mill is abuzz that former General Hospital head writer Robert Guza Jr. is primed to return to GH in the executive producer slot. Guza, who resigned from his head writing position in Sept. 2000, would be taking over the reigns from current EP Jill Farren Phelps. GH, which has had a roller-coaster year in the ratings and experienced major storyline overhauls since Sept. 11, has already been making changes behind the scenes. The show has brought back its former Emmy-award winning head writer Michele Val Jean to work as a scriptwriter. Could the return of more behind-the-scenes alum like Guza be far behind? "We can't confirm that is the case," says Guza's talent agency. "We haven't heard of anything for him happening in that direction." Of course, with a change this huge, all parties concerned could be keeping a tight lid on this one. TV Guide Online will keep you posted.

OK, it's no secret that the Logan/Reiner bunch think that all soaps must be fluffy trash that fits the Melrose mold. Guza's stories were defintely more dark but also much more compelling. I definitely think that Guza will take GH to new heights once he cleans up the mess left by JFP.

My question to you all is this....

Am I wrong to want to see Guza's GH back? Is it so bad that one soap might have a darker edge to it?
