12:29pm, Wed: breaking news The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah died earlier today at the Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre.

The 75-year-old monarch had been in critical condition after undergoing cardiac surgery in Singapore two months ago.

An official announcement is expected soon.

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad is calling for a press conference at Putrajaya now.
