Hi Sarah,

I really like your website. I came across it by accident (when looking for teaching resources for Stanislavski) and I've been hooked ever since! It's just the most lovely, charming website I've come across.

I love the little fox on your home page!

Hope your kidneys are well. They have to keep going so that I can read your blog!

Hi Sarah and everyone,

Just found your site and it looks really good. Nice to hear what everyone is up to. Hope you are all having fun and doing the things you want. I've been working at the new bromley hospital since uni and having lots of holidays. Moving to oxford on sunday to start work in the childrens intensive care there - bit scary. Would be good to hear what everyone is up to.

I thank you much for your posted essays, I found your little assighnment on the role of Caliban in Shakespeare's "The Tempest" rather usefull. Being a published work (yes, internet is considered published), I took the liberty to quote it, however I cannot find out your last name. Because of this I have a very shaky reference, and I really am praying that my professor accepts it, and does not drag me off straight to the Dean. It would suck to be accused of plagerism on a Final paper of Shakespeare. I have faith in my prof, for he is a great guy, but I beg of you to e-mail me and provide me with proper reference (name, and title of essay is all I need) in case all goes to hell.

Hi Matthew,
I tried emailing you, but Hotmail was just bouncing it back all the time, so I hope you find this.

My name is Sarah Marchant. The essay title was "With close reference to the text and action of "The Tempest", show how the role of Caliban could be interpreted in performance in order to bring out the character's functions in the play."

I don't think you could be accused of plagiarism if you're quoting somebody and then giving your source. That's very different from someone just copying and pasting my work into Word and putting their name at the bottom ;-)

Good luck!

Sarah :-)

An appeal to the Theatre Studies lot: can you remember the silly names we adopted for the time that the crappy drama group came in?

I know I was "Sahara Dessert", Karen was probably "Karenza" something or other and Lynsey was probably "Princess Lynsey". Any help would be appreciated as this query is now stuck in my head and I'm going slowly mad(der).

Hi,

I just randomly happened upon your site and really really really really love it. I think it has actual character to it, which is rare in most websites. And its obvious you put lots of time into it.... but what's with no blog updates since early September???

Anyhow, I thought I'd also plug a website that me and my friends run. http://www.deadhobosociety.com Its different than most personal/group sites.... in that its a Wiki.... meaning anyone (yes, ANYONE) can edit it at will. Of course, changes are noticed. But anyone can post anything or do anything they want.

Just kind of reminded me of your site.

Also, pumpkin growing??? How frigg'n cool is that?

Hey! You don't know me - lets just get that out there. Just wanted to send a quick message to compliment you on your site (which I came across while searching for info on Brecht in my uni library, and while procrasinating like never before...). But the main reason is I'm from Malta and pretty much grew up running round Sweethaven in Mellieha so I got a (lovely) shock when I came across your writings on it!! Plus, looking at the pictures was surreal as I know all the people in them (bar yourself/family of course) as Ive worked with them on animations and theatre myself, and well, its so random! Im glad you had a good time there - what about the rest of Malta did you enjoy that? I study drama in Edinburgh now, but miss Malta loads, especially when I see pictures of it like on your site and forget how tiny and suffocating it can get!! Anyway, would be nice to hear back from you. Take Care - Jo x

Hi Keisha,

The only Captain Corelli essay I have is here.

Other places to look are: some thought-provoking questions at: www.randomhouse.com (you'll be well on track if you can think of ways to answer these questions) ; a review at: www.curledup.com

You'll quite likely be able to find a study guide for the book in a shop somewhere, and it's also worth doing a Google search for reviews of the book as they'll often point something out that you might have missed.

Good luck!

Hi everyone,

Faye phoned me tonight to ask me to do her a favour .... and this is it:

Faye is taking part in a youth election "thing" and she would like you to show your support for her by voting for her party online.

As I'm sure you've guessed, Faye's on the Labour team. Of course, you are not held to vote for Labour, but you are asked to bear in mind from Faye's first hand experience that in this election, the Liberal Democrats are spineless wimps and the Conservatives are racially offensive bigots.

To cast your vote, simply go to

http://www.youthelection.co.uk

Vote as often as you can - Faye's especially counting on those of you with more than one email account!

After you have cast your vote, you will be asked to sign up with virginstudent.com (if you are a student). Naturally, you are not obliged to do so, but Faye's party will receive money if a certain number of voters sign up.

I hope you will help Faye - please pass this message on to others you know.

Thanks,

Hey everyboy,

Just writing to say how wicked its been to see so many peeps from school this summer so far. Its been really cool and I will have to see more of everyone and those i havent seen its only a matter of time (either that or your purposefully avoiding me and thats fine aswell) I am so impressed at how everyone looks now and everyone seems to be doing so well which is such a good thing. Its good to see Claudina and Krista just as mad, Julie just as flirtatious, ella with wicked hair, rachel louise and lauren with the same men (a good thing their all so happy!) clare and faye still good mates Eloise partying and Claire still dancing. Hopefully i'll see some more of you before uni starts again at the end of september although knowing Julie shes probably already gone back!

Bye

Lynsey

I have just been issued a PC which I am learning about, so apart from this post, the first thing I did was to change the name of the Hard Drive, (usually called 'my computer'), to 'I'd rather have a Mac'. :)))

Bloody hell! I've updated Dreamdust. Not much though, before you all get too excited. Barely at all in fact. I just thought I should, seeing as I've not exactly been the best Webmistress recently - and I've got to pay 94 quidlets to get my account re-something-or-othered by the host cos I was a bad girl and didn't do things that I should have.

Maybe I'll be more inspired soon.

I have a question:
By making Januarie so naive the Merchant must also be ridiculing himself as he has made a similar marriage error. Do you think there is a similarity between the two characters? If so why?
Please answer by sending me an email, if possible.
Cheers,

Haven't been on this site for ages. Sarah, why haven't I been "immortalised"?????!!!!!

Only 1 week left until I leave Australia - it is a scary thought! We all have to go out for a drink when I get back so I can bore you all with tales of Oz!

It's really nice to see people I know again, though anyone has hardly been in touch with me. It was a bit strange coming back to Weald in summer ball 2000 as I didn't feel like as I was welcomed. Oh well, never mind.

Hi Sarah,

Came across your brother on a site about advertising and he told me about your ventures on the Net. I can only say "Jah", "Nein" and a few swear words in German, but with a little help from your brother, I managed to navigate my way through the Amazon site to hear your Austrian friend. He sounds a bit crazed to me, but I have a great fondness for music that's difficult to categorise. Besides, anyone who can write songs that Westlife can't cover is fine by me, and I would imagine Hubert must be fabulous live. Enjoy your trip to see him.

Well done on the design of your site too. It's very bright and breezy (a touch of the Care Bears in it's colour scheme if that isn't offensive to you!)and most importantly, it doesn't take an age to load.

Hope things go alright with you and I'll no doubt be coming into contact with your brother again the next time he asks a question on that advertising site I look into now and then!

Cheers,
Paul Davis
