Tears slide down his face not only from pain but mainly from Rain. He breaths heavily and then trys to get up. He looks at her. "I was mad Rain, I'm sorry." He looks at her and his eyes fall to the ground as he looks at her. He tried to snarl but couldnt she was his friend. "Rain, I missed you." He lost his footing and fell backwards plunging into the raging river. His head came out and went back under. It came back up and he clinged onto a rock barely able to stay. "Rain, help me." He yelled and struggled to keep hold of the rock, but was to hurt. He fell backwards head bobbing in and out of the water.

~Snaps out at the air around her anger present but as she sees his pain and fear she moves forwards once more. Growls and lunges as he falls, but is unable to reach him. Whines softly as she races along the bank for a time. Seeing him at the rock hope surges then dies as he contiues to drift away~ Don't fight the water...let it carry you, safe it for the moment! ~Yells this then lunges into the water right behind him. Pads towards him quickly, but letting the river do most of the work~ Hang on...I'm comming!

~Now drenched female floats up beside him. As he finally listens to her advice she smiles and grabs his heavy neck covering in strong jaws. Pulls him onto her shoulders slightly. Then looks about. Sees a log coming up and pads steadly towards that side of the river. Growls with the effort as she hopes to clip it in time to move Caltag to it before they both went under for good~

~Growls softly as she looks over her shoulder for a moment. Sees the growing rapids and paddles faster. As they hit the log she whinces, but does not cry out. Grabs his scuff and pulls him onto it. Whines softly as she struggles to~ Caltag, if I go...don't come for me...just trust me...don't.. ~Says this around gasping breathes. Suddenly the current snatches her from her hold on the log and she is spiraled farther away~ You're welcome... ~Says this as she goes under only to resurfaces farther down stream. 'I'm not gonna die...just stay calm' Thinks this as she sees the side of the river close at hand. Kicks out and manages to reach the shore...about a mile downstream. Crawls onto the bank and lays down, panting she sleeps into restful sleep not caring she was unguarded at the moment~

"RAIN!" He thinks about jumping in but listens to her, everything wanting him to go. He paddles to shore and lays down, breathing heavilly. Watching as she gets on shore, her body barelly visible. He lays down and shivers as a cold wind blows through his fur making him freeze. He gets up and slowly pads over to her. It takes him forever, always falling from the pain in his leg, or the freezing wind. "I'm coming Rain." He breathes and continues onward towards her, knowing she must be freezing cold. Finally he reaches her and looks down on her. "Are you okay?" Asking this a tear falls down his face. A cold wind blows through his fur and ruffles hers. "Its freezing here Rain." When she doesnt answer him, he layed down on her body to keep her warm. Laying he waited to just hope and pray. "We need to find a cave or something Rain." He looked up where they had came from, it was just a steep rock, with no foot holds at all. A small white thing fell from the sky and landed apon Caltag's nose. Sneezing more followed it landing on the ground all around them. "Rain.....its, its snowing."

But she was soooo cold. Shivers and moan of pain escapes her lips softly. Steel gray eyes flash open as he speaks of snow~ We...We need to find my old den... ~Says this around chattering teeth~

He smiled at his beloved friend, he had missed her so. (sorry my friend spent the night for two nights in a row and then the next day the computer wouldnt work.)
