The two were outside for a while - Maddy sitting on the railing of the balcony until Ryan gently requested she not, too nervous that she would fall or something awful - and chatted, a little absently at first until Ryan got to his point and Maddy gave him the same excuse she had given Stacie. He accepted the reasonings and was feeling a little better as he made his way back into the kitchen - the young girl lingering out there for little while longer, just quietly curled up on a lounger.
