I hope all is well with you.
I just turned 57 and have been suffering with severe
arthritis in the L5 area. Disk is gone; bone to bone.
I have learned to live with the pain and the meds it "normally"
brings; but sometimes a minor little twist and major inflammation sets
in and the pain is such that you can't imagine yourself sleeping
no matter how many pills are in the house.
I have been taking 1200 mg of neurontin but the MD suggested I double it (2400) I was hesitant and ignored him; but the pain always wins and I started last night to up it. I took an extra 600 at bedtime and was definitely "woozy" through most of the day. I'll wait 3 or 4 more days
until I add the next 600. This serious bout (latest one) of inflammation
has been going on for a few weeks. Hope this helps.
I also take nortryptilene, xanax for anxiety. Bit of a mess; but I'm hopeful
that there is an end in sight.
