Hi Sally, I certainly can relate after 23 yrs. of constant unrelenting pain. I've lost everything in my life that I worked for and had achieved. I was run off the road and rolled down a 60' embankment and fractured numerous vertabrae in three separate areas and fractured my pelvis and had rods put in my back and pins in my pelvis. I sold my computer graphic business and ended up moving out west and then I was divorced because she couldn't understand why I wasn't getting any better. I stood by her side thru a year of cancer therapy and took care of our kids and the home while she got better and then I caught her cheating so that was the end of that. Now I have no family and no so called friends and All I do and all I Can do is to try and get someone to lower the pain. I'm on my 2nd implanted pain pump but it is not being controlled properly as it did use to work for me. I moved back to Ontario when my kids were finishing high school as I was alone and wanted to start a new life with my pain finally controlled. I moved back to Ontario and the doc who took it on lowered the pump 35% which sent me to the ER in withdrawl and then 2 months later raised it 35% and OD'd me and I ended up in the ER again and there is nothing they can do as they don't deal with pain pumps in the ER. These doctors have their ways and when that was done with my pump it was his way to scare me into ever asking him to raise the pump up as I never want to go thru that again. You are so very lucky that You have your family and friends there for support and love as it's really very hard to live with it when there nothing left in your life and I have withdrawn from the world and I am just waiting for it to be over. Enjoy your family and friends as they are the biggest part of your life. I Wish You Pain Free Days and Restfull Nights. Reg
